Welcome to the CLIL Terminology Database. This database contains subject specific texts linked to English-language terminology used in education. The terminology is presented with context sentences, explanations in English, synonyms and visual supports. The content for the database is supplied by staff, students and pupils involved in CLIL education: pupils and teachers of secondary CLIL schools and students and lecturers in CLIL at teacher training institutes.

There are two levels at which you can access the database:

Level 1: Search texts and terms
Open to anyone. As a guest you can consult the database, looking for texts for use in the classroom, pictures to accompany the text or meaning, sample sentences and synonyms of subject specific English terminology.

Level 2: Add texts and terms
Open to registered users only. As a registered user you can add texts, terms, context sentences, explanations, images and sound files to the database. This level is only available to a limited number of users. If you are interested in becoming a registered user, and if you want to upload terminology onto the database, please send us an E-mail on internationaloffice@efa.nl.
